The Rotary Disc Cutter TEM-RDC-100 is a precision instrument designed to align and cut 3mm diameter TEM discs of wide range of brittle materials including ceramics of oxides, carbides, nitrides as well as semiconductor materials such as Silicon, Gallium Arsenide, Gallium Nitride, Germanium, Sapphire etc.
- Gentle grinding and lapping action cuts wide range of materials including brittle metals, ceramics as well as single crystal materials
- Tool holding platform incorporates a high torque DC motor enabling tool rotation maximum up to 300rpm
- High tolerance rotational accuracy prevents cracking and chipping of even extremely fragile materials
- Soft touch spring loaded specimen holding platform enables gentle cutting action of the specimen
- Automatic termination of cutting process achieved through a closed loop electrical circuit mechanism
